By jbarney  The FOFF Resale Store is operated by Pender Humane Society volunteers and is located at 102 N US Hwy 117 across from the First Citizens Bank and the Dollar General Store. FOFF is an acronym for “For Our Furry Friends.” Items donated by the public are sold at the store with all profits given to the Humane Society to support its monthly operating costs. The original FOFF Store was located at 1407 NC Hwy 53 in front of the Humane Society’s Animal Shelter and had a showroom capacity of 600 square feet with an additional 450 square feet in three outbuildings behind it. In June 2013 the Board decided that the original FOFF building no longer could house the numerous donations given by the public and voted to lease a 7,500 square foot building on Hwy 117 S. The new location will give the Humane Society approximately 5,000 square feet of showroom space with 2,500 feet of warehouse. Thanks to all who donate to, work and shop at FOFF!
